## Project Overview

Kulen Outreach is a Cambodian non-profit supporting children from rural communities
around Phnom Kulen in Siem Reap Province. The team already had a website, but the
mission, programmes, and impact were not coming through clearly. We rebuilt the 
site to tell their story better, guide visitors to donate or sponsor, and make it
easier to find information fast.

## Design Approach

We aimed for a fun, yet serious design that reflects a caring organisation with 
real results. Bright accents and warm photography create energy, while clean layouts
keep focus on outcomes and transparency. Copy is plain and direct. Key actions like
Sponsor a Child and Donate stay visible across the site.

The structure breaks content into short, scannable sections. Impact highlights sit
beside human stories. The design is accessible, mobile-first, and works well even
on slower connections.

## Challenges & Solutions

Sponsoring individual children needed to be clear and trackable. We configured GiveWP
to handle recurring sponsorships with dedicated forms, donor receipts, and a secure
donor dashboard. Each child profile connects to the correct form so supporters know
exactly who they help.

For general donations, we set up one-time and monthly options with suggested amounts
and transparent fee messaging. GiveWP provides clear reporting for the team and 
a smooth checkout for donors.

The team wanted to update content on their own. We built custom post types for children’s
profiles and programme reports, added custom fields, and created reusable Gutenberg
patterns. Staff can publish new profiles, reports, and news without touching code.
