Project Overview
SNA Arts Management is a Phnom Penh based arts management service and gallery connecting contemporary Cambodian visual artists with the wider art world. With experience across galleries, art spaces, and arts organisations at home and abroad, the team champions Cambodian visual arts and brings artists to local and international markets.
The website had to present artists, events, publications, and news in a clear, professional way. It also needed to support their consultancy services by making information easy to find.
The priority was to make a complex site easy to manage for the client.

Design Approach
The client asked for a simple, minimal approach in black and white. Often, it’s the simplest of websites which are the hardest!
The layout uses generous white space, clean typography, and a strict structure so the artwork takes centre stage.
Large imagery and spacing between elements keep attention on the artists and their work. Navigation is direct, with clear paths to Artists, Events, Publications, and News. The site is fully responsive, retaining clarity on mobiles and tablets.
Challenges & Solutions
Events needed to cover shows at SNA and at external venues, and switch automatically from upcoming to previous once the date had passed. Each event also required links to one or more artist profiles, plus press and PR references.
We built a custom events system with date logic that updates status automatically after the end date. Relationship fields connect events to artists, so profiles and event pages cross link without manual duplication. A custom repeater field handles PR links, partner details, and host venue information in a structured way.
This keeps the front end consistent while making updates quick and easy for the SNA team. Add an event once, select the artists, paste press links, and the site handles the rest.
Key Features
- Events listings with automatic move from Upcoming to Previous
- Artist biography pages with related events and works
- Blog and News for announcements and updates
- Publications listing with external and download links
- Client friendly editing with structured custom fields
- Minimal, responsive design that foregrounds imagery
Results
The result is a clean, minimal website where images and artwork lead every page. Visitors can discover artists, browse events past and present, and read publications with ease.
The SNA team can add content quickly and trust the site to organise it correctly. Events roll over on time, artist pages stay in sync, and press coverage is presented clearly.
Reflections and Takeaway
Although this is not our usual visual style, the client was very happy with the outcome. The minimal approach feels refined and inviting, and it lets the art speak for itself.
The takeaway is simple: when the content is strong, restraint creates impact.
