Project Overview
Minster Bridal is a pair of luxury bridal boutique on the South Coast of the UK in Wimborne. The website needed to feel premium while making it fast to browse gowns, discover designers, and book appointments. It also had to bring an online outlet together with the main shop in a seamless way.
The brief focused on three things: a quick, elegant catalogue, clear booking journeys across both locations, and a strong showcase of exclusive designers and the curated in‑store experience.

Design Approach
We chose a calm, boutique aesthetic with generous white space and refined typography. Bold hero imagery sets the tone, with a clear “Book an Appointment” call to action placed above the fold.
The website separates designers with their own page and listings to make it easy for brides to find what they are looking for.
The product grid is lightweight and fast. Cards surface designer, silhouette, size range, and, where permitted, price. The layout is fully responsive and prioritises clarity on mobile.

Challenges & Solutions
With many designers and SKUs, speed and findability mattered. We introduced structured taxonomies for designer, silhouette, collection and more. Filters are concise and fast, helping brides narrow options in seconds.
An appointment‑led model demands constant visibility of the next step. A persistent booking CTA follows the user, and quick chat via WhatsApp or Messenger supports pre‑visit questions. We optimised imagery and caching so pages stay quick even with large photos.

Results

The online outlet supports incremental conversions alongside in‑store appointments. The team can add new designers and styles with ease, keeping the catalogue fresh without slowing the site.
Reflections and Takeaway
Bridal UX should put appointments and curation first. Clear filters, designer‑led navigation, and frictionless booking outperform generic catalogue pages every time.
