Master Artisans is an art gallery in Siem Reap, based at Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor, devoted to Khmer art and Buddha statues with a curated selection of global works. The brief was to expand the gallery online with a bilingual e‑commerce experience in French and English, while preserving the calm feel of viewing art in person.

Design Approach
We used a calm, museum‑style layout with generous spacing and a restrained palette so each piece takes centre stage. Large images and succinct captions keep attention on form, material, and story.
Navigation is simple: Collections, About, Shop, and Contact. On every artwork page, provenance sits alongside size, medium, and origin, with clear calls to purchase or enquire. The site is fully responsive and the bilingual switch is always within reach.
Challenges & Solutions
The catalogue blends Khmer pieces with selected global items, including replicas and antiques. We built a strict taxonomy for era, medium, and origin so visitors can filter with confidence. Clear labels and contextual notes remove guesswork.
Trust and authenticity were essential. Artwork pages now include provenance narratives, maker or source where known, and precise location details at Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor. Prominent contact options make it easy to ask questions before buying.
Multilingual content needed to stay in sync. We paired every English page with its French counterpart, set canonical and hreflang tags, and ensured filters and taxonomies work in both languages. Product data and labels are translated once and reused consistently across listings and search.
For payments, we integrated ABA Payway for local buyers and configured checkout to respect language, currency display, and shipping rules without friction.
