Design Approach
The design is lightweight and image led, with a calm palette that suits a traditional Khmer setting. Photography does the storytelling while text stays concise.
Navigation is simple. Home, About, Menu, Drinks, Gallery, Reservation. On mobile we prioritised key content above the fold. The reservation button is always within reach.
Typography is clear, contrast is strong, and spacing is generous to aid readability across devices.
Challenges & Solutions
Images were heavy. We solved this with compression, responsive sizes, lazy loading, and modern formats. Where supported, WebP is served with fallbacks for older browsers.
The menu needed to be easy to scan. We rebuilt it as structured sections with internal anchors, clear headings, and prices aligned for quick checks. No PDFs, just HTML that search engines can read.
Local SEO was a priority. We applied consistent NAP across the site, footers, and metadata. Opening hours and reservation info are visible and marked up with Restaurant schema, Menu schema, and FAQ where relevant.
